Pucks4Pawz 2014

PLEASE take note folks that the game that was scheduled for this Saturday night (today) has been post-poned until Monday night… PLEASE TRY TO ATTEND MONDAY NIGHT AND HELP US TO RAISE MONEY FOR FIXED FUR LIFE!!!

I want to take the time to express a huge thank you to the Belleville Bulls organization, their coach George Burnett, their owner Gord Simmonds and all of the players for their help with the Pucks 4 Pawz campaign again this year.

The single biggest reason that I have been so proud to have Hillcrest associated with the Bulls over the last few years is their tremendous emphasis on community support. It seems that it is a rare day when the organization doesn’t have some of their players attending one community event or another (I know because my wife helps at many of them!).

Every single Bulls home game seems to run some sort of community charitable organization fund-raiser. These have included everything from supporting the M.F.R.C. at 8-wing Trenton to local community teams, the Belleville General Hospital Foundation, the Children’s Wish Foundation (Wednesday night’s game was very touching!) and many other smaller local charities and large national ones. The list would be longer than I could ever hope to type out.

This year the Bulls have made two more exceptional financial sacrifices to help out Fixed Fur Life. The first is that they have allowed the wonderful staff of Foster Park Animal Hospital bring in a home-made lemonade stand for fund-raising at the game on the 25th. This will obviously cut into their concession sales which are important to the club. The second is that they have contributed a game-worn jersey from past-captain (and now visiting Erie Otters player and future NHL super-star!) Brendan Gaunce for us to auction off at the game on the 25th. Again this is normally a fund-raiser for the Bulls organization and this will hopefully bring in some serious contributions to Fixed Fur Life.

Please folks, make an effort to come out to this game to support the Bulls and Fixed Fur Life. Be generous with your donations and make sure to thank any of the Bulls staff you see around the building. let’s see how much money we can raise with that jersey!

From myself, my wife and all of my staff… Thank you very, very much to everyone in the Bulls organization for your continued support of our community. We appreciate it more than you know.

Sincerely;

Dr. Michael Steen
