Appointment Confirmation & No-Show Policy

Hillcrest Animal Hospital is committed to providing all our patients with exceptional care. Due to the high demand for appointments and our current veterinarian shortage, when a client does not show up without giving advance notice, they prevent another patient from being seen.

For this reason, effective July 15th, 2024, we are implementing a new appointment confirmation policy at Hillcrest Animal Hospital. This policy aims to ensure that we can accommodate as many patients as possible, especially those who are ill and in urgent need of care.

Appointment Confirmation Requirements

  • All appointments must be confirmed 48 hours before the scheduled time. You will receive an email with a link to confirm your pet’s appointment.
  • If the appointment is not confirmed via the email link, a follow-up text message or phone call will be made.
  • If we do not receive confirmation either online, by phone, or by text message, the appointment time will be offered to another patient.
  • You will receive multiple reminders leading up to the appointment to provide confirmation. Once the appointment has been confirmed, we will stop reaching out.

No-Show Fee

If an appointment has been confirmed but fails to show up, a $75.00 fee will be applied to your account. We understand that extenuating circumstances do arise; these situations will be addressed on a case-to-case basis.
