Nail Trimming and Ear Cleaning

Prevent painful injuries and infections with proper nail care and ear hygiene.

Trimming your dog’s nails is not just part of grooming but it is an important part of your dog’s health as well. Untrimmed nails can cause a variety of problems including broken nails that are painful and bleed profusely. In some cases, nails will actually curl and grow back into the dog’s feet.

How often should I cut my dog’s nails?

It is better to trim a small amount on a regular basis than to try and remove large portions.

Why should my dog have his ears cleaned?

Keeping your pet’s ears clean can help prevent ear infections as dogs can get water in their ears that can pool down in the horizontal canal and increase the risk of infections. Some dogs just due to the nature of their ears shape (long floppy ears) are more prone to ear infections and staying on top of cleaning them can help prevent an infection from occurring.
